My animation was accepted to the IN MOTION installation at the We Shine street art & light festival. My animation was part of a 45-minute loop that played from 5 pm-9 pm from November 18th to the 21st on a 200ft building in downtown Portsmouth UK.
IN MOTION is a free community project by Foursandeights and Pompey Banana Club aimed at engaging local creatives to think about generating design content surrounding this theme; COMMUNITY. Everyone has a community they belong to, this might be a small 2 person community or something much larger. The purpose of the project was to explore the idea of communicating a narrative and capturing a snapshot of what community means to the creator.
I created an animation in Cinema 4D and represented the coastal city of Portsmouth. Being a new resident, having a short 2-week deadline, and not knowing much history I based my animation on visual motifs I've seen walking around the city.
